Designed for the bring-your-own-device environment, SECTOR is a powerful personal device application that separates “work” and “personal” profiles via a PIM container for company-approved applications on individual-liable devices.
SECTOR can be deployed as a stand-alone work/personal PIM container solution, or in tandem with other products within OpenPeak’s ADAM Device Management platform to provide an end-to-end device and application management solution, including the ability to deploy updates, revoke problem applications on specific devices, or manage configuration bundles that can be distributed to a large group of devices.
With the addition of SANCTION Device Management and OpenShop enterprise application shop, OpenPeak ADAM allows IT administrators' additional functionality such as selective device wiping and the ability to push applications and content. |

Profile Management
SECTOR is the Profile Management component of the OpenPeak ADAM suite of products. Designed for the bring-your-own-device work environment, SECTOR is a powerful personal device application that separates work and personal profiles via a virtual workspace to allow company-approved applications on the “work side” of individual-liable devices.
This workspace contains enterprise applications that run in a highly secure and remotely managed environment and can be remotely installed or removed. At the same time, SECTOR allows employees to maintain all the applications and benefits of their existing platform on the “personal side” of the same device.
A virtual workspace appears to the user as an alternate desktop that contains managed enterprise applications as well as PIM (personal information management) software. Users can instantly switch between personal and work workspaces. A workspace can be password protected and be fully customized.

Secure Container
Acting as a virtual device-within-a-device, SECTOR allows total security and control for IT Administrators to allow users secure access to approved applications and encrypted enterprise data while logged on to the password protected “work side” of their device.
Via SANCTION, SECTOR also provides policy management support for a wide variety of administrator-determined settings such as VPN, Wi-Fi access, roaming and Geo-fencing.
SECTOR also reports detailed usage data to the ADAM Analytics engine to provide robust management reporting on individual cellular data and application usage.
The enterprise IT administrator can control the visibility of notifications, such as incoming mail, across workspaces. Since privacy is often an issue, enterprise notifications can appear on the personal site without any detail as to their contents. |

Application Wrapping
Applications running within a virtual workspace under Sector are "wrapped" when they are loaded to OpenShop. This wrapping process ensures that these wrapped applications are visible only within the virtual workspace, abide by configured policies, encrypt file data for secure storage, and access the network according to policy. By using encrypted storage, Sector ensures that malicious applications running in a personal workspace will not have access to any enterprise data.
A web-based management portal allows the virtual workspace to be fully managed from the enterprise. This includes pushing apps to the workspace, removing applications, and provisioning blacklists and whitelists.
Applications or the entire workspace can be locked or, through a policy editor, made available in specific areas via geofencing or made available during specific times. |
